Holy Family Parish is part of the diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau which covers 39 counties,

The Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau is committed to helping children learn and grow in a healthy and safe environment.  This Parish complies with diocesan safe environment policies and procedures.  In accordance with the U.S. Bishop’s Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, the program Protecting God’s Children – Teaching Touching Safety (commonly referred to as “Virtus”) is used in the diocese. Students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade participate in two different safety lessons each school year; one in the fall and one in the spring.  An overview of the children’s training is available on the diocesan website.   All employees, and volunteers who regularly work with minors, receive training in how to recognize, prevent and report abuse, as well as ongoing training and background screening. They also agree

to comply with the Code of Conduct for Clergy, Employees and Adult Volunteers Working with Minors.

 KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
Knights of Columbus, Holy Family Council 13975 was established on February 14, 2006.  It is a very active council currently consisting of 33 members plus the Ladies Auxiliary. The Council closely adheres to the principles of Charity, Unity and Fraternity.  It’s local fund raising events include fish fries during Lent, periodic spaghetti dinners,  an occasional raffle and the October Drive for Persons with Developmental Disabilities distributing tootsie rolls with the proceeds going to agencies which work with persons with developmental disabilities.  In turn, time, talent and proceeds go towards causes such as Special Olympics of Missouri, Agape House, American Wheelchair Mission, Coats for Kids, Persons with Developmental Disabilities organizations, Religious Vocations, Meet Life Campaign (purchase of ultrasound machines, support unwed mothers, etc.) Religious Information Bureau http://mokofc.org/programs/religious-information-bureau/chss   plus many other causes.

LADIES AUXILIARY OF THE Kof C
The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary is a subsidiary organization of the Knights of Columbus. Membership in the Auxiliary is open to wives, mothers and daughters of Knights in good standing. Holy Family's Ladies Auxiliary #13975 assists its Knights in their social, fund raising, and charitable activities such as the Fish Fries, and other dinners and the Drive for Persons with Developmental Disabilities, and Coats for Kids. Independently the Auxiliary also annually donates to national and local causes such as Convoy for Hope, the Shell Knob Library, the Central Crossing Senior Center, and the Alliance of Churches. The Auxiliary also organizes
social activities for the Knights and their Ladies such as Fifth Sunday Breakfast outings and the
annual Christmas party. 

MEN’S CLUB 
The Men’s Club is open to all men in the Parish. Meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Breakfast is prepared the second Sunday of each month for parishioners, families, and friends September through May. There are no meetings or breakfasts in June, July, and August.

The Men's Club contributes to the Parish in many ways:

• Spiritually: by encouraging and practicing a Catholic way of life
  
• Socially:  promoting friendship and camaraderie among members by supporting Parish functions
  
• Physically:  utilizing time and talents of members to maintain and repair Church property and buildings
  
• Financially:  projects and bulletin ads to support their work
  
• Charity: part of the revenue raised supports both Parish and community projects and activities

PARISH COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN (PCCW)

The mission of the PCCW is to unite all women of Holy Family Parish in social, educational, and religious activities; to assist the pastor in material and spiritual projects for the good of the parish and the community at large.

Regular meetings are held September through May on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall.

Regular activities include:

• A well known and highly anticipated annual Valentine Luncheon for the ladies of all local area churches.
  
• Visitors and parishioners alike look forward to the Bake Sales that are held on the weekends of Easter, Memorial Day, the 4th of July, and Labor Day.
  
• Each year donations are made to various local entities, diocesan programs, and parish activities. 
  

 ​​PARISH COUNCIL
The parish council is a consultative body responsible to the pastor who is the administrator of the parish and, as such, is responsible to the bishop. The council assists the pastor by its vision of what the parish is and what it is called to become in its life. 

 PARISH FINANCE COUNCIL 
The finance council is not a committee of the parish council, but is a separate body. It is to assist the pastor in all the duties relating to the financial business of the parish.
